Aims
The Technology Association is a professional non-profit society for teachers of Technology.It might be called an interest-group, but it is not a union nor a pressure group.

Our aims are:
- To facilitate interaction between members.
- To inform members.
- To facilitate in-service training in response to the needs of members and other teachers.
- To promote the development of Technology as a Learning Area.

Mode of Operation
- Local and regional INSET workshops and courses.
- Biannual publication of the bulletin TORQUE.
- Quarterly email or fax info about technology, called Snippets
- Annual national conference.
- Regional conferences, as regions organise them.
- Dissemination of information and 2-way communication via our web-site.
- Monitoring and responding to the professional needs of members.
- Regular local interest-group meetings.

The Future...
- An extensive national association of local groups
- Establish links and develop programmes with similar organizations in South Africa.
- Establish links with industry for interaction, support and training.
- Establish links with parallel groups in other countries.
